Dec 10 2019 16:38

The Maine Children’s Alliance (MCA) is pleased to welcome our new executive director, Stephanie Eglinton. Stephanie comes to MCA with extensive experience with Maine’s philanthropic and nonprofit communities. Most recently, she worked as a Senior Program Officer at the Maine Community Foundation (MCF), where she led the foundation’s statewide initiative to improve outcomes for young children in Maine. She served as the co-chair of the Maine Early Childhood Funders Group. She also managed several competitive grant programs and provided philanthropic support to donors. Prior to that, she was a program officer at the Sam L. Cohen Foundation. During her time in these positions, Stephanie conducted research and maintained expertise on issues of early childhood education, food security, oral health, and poverty alleviation. Stephanie holds a master’s degree in Public Policy, and used that expertise in her early career in her role as government relations coordinator in Washington, D.C. This work instilled in her an understanding that policy change is the surest way to have broad impact, and that policy decisions should be grounded in data and analysis. With a passion for ensuring that all Maine children have the opportunity to reach their full potential, Stephanie is thrilled to be joining MCA, to work with partners, decision makers, and stakeholders, to move that mission forward and make that vision a reality. Please join us in welcoming her!
