At the Maine Children's Alliance, we know that behind every successful project, every polished event, and every moment of organizational magic, there is a core team member quietly making it all happen. Today, I am honored to celebrate one such person whose contributions often happen behind the scenes but whose impact is felt in every corner of our work: our incredible Office Manager, Rebecca Herron.

Rebecca has been a vital part of the MCA family since 2020, bringing extraordinary dedication, skill, and heart to everything she touches. Whether managing the day-to-day operations that keep us running smoothly, ensuring our communications are clear and professional, or simply being a steady, positive presence for the team, Rebecca’s work embodies the spirit and mission of the Maine Children's Alliance.

Her extraordinary and quiet commitment to perfecting all aspects of our business—from finance to human resources—ensures that MCA operates with the highest level of professionalism and care. Her organizational prowess is matched only by her compassion. Rebecca consistently goes above and beyond to support her colleagues, creating an environment where everyone feels equipped and valued. With her warm smile and unwavering commitment to ensuring the wellness of her colleagues, she fosters a workplace culture rooted in kindness, respect, and support. From onboarding new staff to organizing major initiatives to handling the unexpected with grace and efficiency, she ensures that MCA remains a strong, supportive place to work—and by extension, a stronger voice for Maine’s children and families.

Rebecca's attention to detail, proactive mindset, and warm, can-do attitude make a difference every single day. She reminds us that advocacy doesn't only happen at the podium or in policy meetings; it also happens in the way we care for our mission, for each other, and for the community we serve.
