A diverse range of state and national experts, partners and stakeholders gathered to discuss short and long-term strategies to improve early childhood outcomes, specifically related to social and emotional development for Maine’s young children. After listening to national experts Dr. Walter Gilliam and Dr. Sheila Smith and hearing insights from the field from the Maine panel, we walked away excited about what we had learned and the opportunity to improve the social emotional learning and development of Maine’s young children. In the upcoming week, we will be recapping what we learned from the presentations and speakers at the 2016 Social Emotional Learning & Development Conference. In the meantime, check out some snapshots from the event below!
