Maribeth Canning


As development officer for the Sisters of Charity Health System in Lewiston, Maribeth Canning solicits sponsorship for the agency's programs by networking with more than 100 Maine businesses and corporations annually. She is the winner of the Richard T. Miner Jr. Scholarship for AHP Institute for Healthcare Philanthropy, 2000, and has tripled event revenue for her agency. Previously, she served as executive director of Families First, Kennebec Child Abuse and Neglect Council, a non-profit organization for the prevention of child abuse and neglect. She also serves with many volunteer organizations dedicated to improving the lives of children in Maine.
