MAINE KIDS COUNT Photo Submission Form

KIDS COUNT is a project of the Maine Children's Alliance. The project documents the condition of children in Maine over time and works to gain public support to improve the lives of children in this state. Photographs of children and teens will be used in KIDS COUNT and other Maine Childrens Alliance publications.

Instructions
1. We will accept photographs of any size, but prefer standard prints up to size 5x7 (3x5, 4x6, 5x7). Electronically we will accept jpeg, tiff or pdf image files at least 300 dpi (no gif files) via e-mail; e-mailed images should be sent to mainekids@mekids.org

2. Because photographs may ultimately be scanned, your photos: Must be free of spots and scratches; are of evenly and well lighted subjects; do not include a time/date stamp on the front of the photo.

3. Please label the back of each photo with: an identifying number; the name(s) of the subject(s); and the name of the photographer
*Please take care that the labeling does not disrupt the integrity of the photograph.

Please note: Because of the volume of photographs received, we are not able to return submissions. And if the above directions are not followed the photographs are not considered for publication.


MAINE KIDS COUNT Publicity Release

A publicity release form must be signed by the subject(s) of the photograph, or, if the subject is a child, by a parent or guardian. Please make as many copies of the release as you need.

I, the undersigned, do hereby grant permission to the Maine Children's Alliance/Maine KIDS COUNT Project to publish the attached photograph of me and/or my minor child. It is clearly understood that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable to me by reason of such use.
