Position Summary:
MCA seeks a dynamic, creative, experienced leader to be the next executive director (ED). Building on a strong foundation of organizational resources and expertise, the ED leads the team to advance the mission of MCA. In partnership with the Board of Directors, the ED provides vision and leadership consistent with the organization’s strategic plan, policies, and by-laws.
The preferred candidate is dedicated to MCA’s commitment to center equity and anti-racism into all aspects of its work. The candidate understands the issues faced by children and families in a way that deepens and authenticates MCA’s work across the state of Maine. The person is also an experienced manager who is empathic, creative, and flexible. They are easily able to build relationships within and beyond the organization with staff, stakeholders, and the community-at-large. They are excited to lead MCA through its next phase of work for Maine’s children and families.
